Topic to Teach

Manipulating shapes, animating with house hold objects

 

 

Activities

 

(Continue from last week)

 

- Check homework

 

- Students will draw several house hold items of their choice in their books eg: heater, microwave etc. They will then pick one and brainstorm possible short animations to make with it.

 

(Possible ideas could be manipulating objects as if they were made of jelly or merging one into another, or perhaps something more literal such as animating the object being used in everyday life)

 

- Students will then create these animations on computer. They should be short as the aim is to test different techniques and ideas.

 

 

Objectives

Introduce students to animating with static objects and test possible ways of doing this.

 

Materials

 

Sketch pad, pencil, coloured pencils, eraser, USB drive if student has one.
